For Eliot

Eliot Abramson

"Eliot was the kind of person who made everyone around him feel like a best friend."

His friends remember him as a "yes man," always up for an adventure, the life of the party, and someone who brought people together wherever he went. Behind that energy was a deeply sensitive, kind, and caring person who had a way of making people feel seen.

Eliot was 16 years old when he passed away on June 7, 2026, six days after being struck by a lacrosse ball during a college showcase.

When he turned 16, Eliot chose to register as an organ donor. That decision ultimately helped save six lives.

On October 23, Amherst Men's Lacrosse will complete the Mountain Run in Eliot's memory. We are honoring Eliot and the game he loved by raising money for Donate Life America, the organization chosen by his family.

An Amherst Lacrosse tradition

Every year, we run 16 miles. This year, we run for Eliot.

Every fall, the Amherst Men's Lacrosse team treks 16 miles across the Holyoke Mountain Range together. On October 23, we'll take on those 16 miles in Eliot's memory and in support of organ donation.
